Co-Owner of DIB Baseball Academy

Marcus is a Professional Pitcher currently playing with the Boston Red Sox organization. He's a hometown Native of Fresno, California. He attended Central High School where he then went on to play at Fresno City College where he developed his game further. He was then drafted in the 9th round by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2007. Marcus has 12 years of professional baseball experience that he brings to the academy.  

Drew Mattos

Co-Owner of DIB Baseball Academy

Owner of DIB Training (2006-present), he has experience with high school, college and professional athletes including clients such as Matt Garza (Milwaukee Brewers), Sean Halton (Detroit Tigers Org)  Jerome Williams (St. Louis Cardinals) Garrett Weber (Arizona Diamondbacks Org) and Michael Mariot (Philadelphia Phillies).

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and Journalism (Sports Public Relations) from California State University-Fresno and a master’s degree in Kinesiology (Physical Education and Coaching) from Fresno Pacific University. He also earned a Certification in Nutrition for Optimal Health from California State University-San Diego.

Started coaching in 2000 at Washington Union High School. While at WUHS he was an assistant coach for the football team (offensive coordinator), assistant girls soccer coach for two valley championship teams (2003, 2004) and also assistant coach with the baseball team (outfielders). 


In the fall of 2004 began working as an assistant coach on the women's soccer team at Fresno City College, where he also worked with the baseball team in the spring (speed development and base running).

In 2013 was an assistant women's soccer coach at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida.


Played centerfield for the 1999 Valley Champion Washington Union HS Panthers.

Played 2010 at Fresno City College went 5-10 with a double and 5 RBI in 12 games played. 

Brian Oliver

Co-Owner of DIB Baseball Academy

Brian is a Central Alum.  He had a storied career that earned him All TRAC honors in both his Jr. and Sr.  seasons.  After his Sr. season Oliver earn the honor of being selected to both the City-County All Star game and the prestigious North-South All Star game.  After high school, Brian played for legendary coach Ron Scott at Fresno City College.  During his time as a Ram he earned All CVC honors after both his freshmen and sophomore seasons and in 2007 he was selected as an All-American Pitcher/DH.

 After leaving FCC with his A.A. degree he went on to star for Coach Lindsey Meggs at Indiana State University.  From 2009-2013 Oliver played Professional baseball for a variety of Independent teams, most recently the Windy City Thunderbolts.  The highlights of his Professional career include a 2009 Golden League Championship, being named a player/coach in 2010, and winning the ERA title in 2012.
